A fourth generation leader take over the reigns.
Emeryville, CA -- John Cutt, Chairman of the Board and CEO of both the IMACC
(Myers Container) and CMS Corporations announced from its headquarters
Office in Emeryville, California yesterday following the Annual Board of
Directors meetings, the appointment of Kyle R. Stavig as President
of IMACC and CMS effective February 1, 2006. As President, Kyle will
continue to report to John in his new responsibility.
Peter
Cutt, Vice president of Operations, and Michael Holmes, Vice President of
Finance, for both companies will report directly to the new president. Kyle
is currently Vice President of Sales & Marketing for both operations, and
will continue to function in that responsibility and capacity for the
immediate future.
Tom
Holmes, Senior V.P. of Finance, and Roger Stavig, Senior Vice President of
Operations, will continue in their respective positions reporting to John
Cutt, as they have in the past.
Kyle,
who is now 41, has been with the company for nineteen years and over the
years worked his way up the ladder having spent time at various of the Myers
operations and, of course, in recent years, he served as V.P. Sales for both
IMACC and CMS. Kyle and his family reside in Portland, Oregon. Kyle and
his wife Kerrie have two children.
Kyle, is
the fourth generation of his family involved in the drum business, and the
third member of his family to have served as President of Myers in the
eighty-nine years since the company was founded. The company was founded by
his great grandfather, George Myers in 1916. His son, Gilbert (Gib) Myers,
was the second president of the company. Many of us worked with Gib for many
years until he passed away. Later, Kyle's father, Roger Stavig, joined the
company in 1965 having spent the early portion of his career involved in
sales. Roger is one of the original owners of the IMACC Corporation, formed
in 1984, and he became a Vice President of Operations at that time.
